How I painted this:

Type of paint: acrylic

First paint a gradient of dark blue, to light blue, to purple; leaving about a third of the page (from the bottom) completely blank (for the clouds)

Create the clouds at the bottom by layers very light blues and darker blues. Make sure to move your brush in a curved sweeping motion to get the shape of the clouds.

Then, take pure white paint and paint a triangle shaped streak for the largest shooting star in the painting. Blend the edges of the white triangle with the light blue/purple paint beside it to make it look more natural.

Create the other, smaller shooting stars by using a very thin paint brush, a white pen, or a pointed instrument dipped in white paint. Make a tiny blob to be the "head" of the shooting star and then quickly move your tool in a line behind the blob.

To finish it off, add stars in the background.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS ON MARCH 24, DO NOT LOOK PAST THIS POINT

How I made this:

See the above painting; I just switched up the color of the clouds :]

This is a birthday gift for my friend: https://rosepetalstudiosin.wixsite.com/blog
